transSarrio eliminates manual document entry across more than 10 offices
transSarrio is a logistics operator and customs agency with more than 10 offices in cities across Spain. It manages transport and customs documentation for its customers, including exports from mainland Spain to the Canary Islands.
Led by Álvaro Fernández Navarro, Managing Director, the company wanted to remove two document bottlenecks that were holding back its ability to grow without adding administrative staff. The first was everyday work, repeated in every office: delivery notes. The second, denser, appeared every time goods had to be exported to the Canary Islands: dozens of export DUAs that someone had to type in by hand.

Case 01 — Delivery notes: from manual entry to the ERP in real time
Every delivery ends with a delivery note. And every delivery note had to enter the ERP so the shipper knew their goods had arrived. Before the project, each office typed that data in by hand. A slow, centralised process, exposed to typing errors, that delayed information on the status of the cargo.
With OCR-Genius, each office scans and uploads its own delivery notes, in batches, independently. The system extracts the data and loads it into the ERP automatically —with no manual intervention—. Shippers are informed of their cargo status at once, and more than 10 offices operate on their own.
The path of every delivery note:
- Origin — The office scans and uploads its delivery notes, in a batch, from its own site.
- Processing — OCR-Genius extracts and validates the fields of each document.
- Delivery — The data is loaded into the ERP automatically, with no retyping.
- Destination — The shipper sees the status of their cargo at once.
Case 02 — Spain–Canary Islands exports: from hours of typing to minutes of extraction
To export goods from Spain to the Canary Islands, transSarrio has to process the Spanish export DUAs and transfer their data for import in the Canary Islands. Typing 60 DUAs by hand into a spreadsheet could take several hours.
OCR-Genius lets them upload between 20 and 100 DUAs at once. In 1 or 2 minutes it extracts all the information from the forms, ready to use in the Canary Islands import process. Batches of up to 100 DUAs are processed in minutes, against the hours that manual Excel entry used to take.
The result: growing without adding administrative staff
What began as two tasks that slowed down the working day became a different kind of capacity: the offices process on their own, the ERP feeds itself, and exports to the Canary Islands no longer cost an afternoon of typing.
